     Dr. Barrett completed a Post-Master's Certificate as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Master of Science degree in Maternal Child Nursing from Rush University in Chicago. She also earned a PhD in Nursing Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She previously practiced at Rush University Medical Center, the CORE Center, and St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago. She has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing. She is certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and is licensed to practice and prescribe medication in Illinois.  She also provides individual psychotherapy as appropriate.

     Dr. Barrett has been in private practice with Dr. Capriotti since 2004.
